When quality and accuracy are critical, Translation Plus is the recommended option. We recognise that not all projects require this level of scrutiny, and budgets for reference or internal document translations can sometimes be tight – in these cases, one of our AI-powered options might be best for you.

Certified Translation
Translations of official documentation needing to be submitted to courts, government bodies or other authorities often need to be certified in order to be accepted. These documents can include:

Certification provides a legally binding guarantee that:
- The document has been translated and certified by a suitably qualified linguist or accredited translation agency
- The resulting document is a true and faithful translation of the original
- The translation may be legally relied upon in court or for sensitive legal purposes such as immigration procedures, civil status registrations and regulatory audits
- The linguist or translation agency is a member of an approved translation industry body, such as the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), or the Association of Translation Companies (ATC)

All of our translation services include our ISO9001-certified quality assurance process. For our standard Translation Plus service, this involves a three-stage process performed by three equally qualified and experienced professional linguists, individually selected for your project based on their experience in your field. We employ industry-leading translation management systems to ensure consistent use of approved translations and terminology.

Frequently asked questions
How much do translation services cost?
Costs for technical translation services start from around £60–£80 + VAT, depending on the language pair. This usually covers up to approx. 500 words; thereafter, the cost is based on the number of words, with rates between £0.12 and £0.22 per source word for most language pairs at our standard Translation Plus service level. Rates for our Translation Light and AI-powered service levels range from 20%–40% lower than Translation Plus.
How do I choose the right service level for my project?
For the most sensitive projects, we would recommend our Translation Plus service, as this ensures the best possible quality and accuracy. If speed is a priority, our AI-powered services use AI for the initial translation, saving time without compromising on quality. If your budget is tight and the translation is just for reference of internal use, Translation Light or AI Light would be best.
Do you use AI in your translation process?
We offer two AI-powered service levels: AI Plus and AI Light. Both services use closed-source AI translation engines to produce the initial translation, which is then meticulously edited by two expert linguists (AI Plus) or one expert linguist (AI Light) to ensure quality, accuracy, fluency and industry/market suitability. We never use AI translation tools in other service levels, and we never use your materials to train our AI systems.
Why should I use a professional translation agency, not just machine translation?
Machine translation and AI are prone to errors, as they lack the contextual and industry-specific knowledge that only expert human linguists can provide. AI and machine translation can certainly be used to provide a quick, first reference translation, but professional human translators are essential to produce an accurate translation suitable for publication.
Are you able to integrate translation with other apps/software?
We use industry-leading translation management systems that allow us to work directly with a wide range of specialist file formats, including: web development formats like HTML or JSON; desktop publishing formats such as InDesign or Illustrator; e-learning formats such as Articulate; and many more. If you already have your own internal translation environment, we are always happy to work with you to integrate our systems and workflows with yours.
