This will largely depend on the size of the translation. As a rough guide, for smaller documents we can typically turn a quote into a completed translation in 1-3 working days but larger jobs may require more time. Once we have received your quote request, we will be able to provide further information on how long the job will take and get working on it right away.

The cost of your translation will depend on a number of factors including size, language and content. We price our services competitively based on our costs and current industry standards in order to give you a fair price for the highest quality service possible. A certified translation is a translation which comes with a signature that shows the translation you have received is accurate and contains all the information from the original document. You’ll need to have your translation certified when handling most legal documents. This is because they can get quite technical, and it is often very important that they are accurate. Just ask! We’ll handle all the technical stuff for you so you can just sit back and relax. We’ll get your certified translation back to you by the date/time given when you receive your quote.

At BLS we value your privacy and will only use the documents you send us for translation purposes and will delete any confidential document upon request, as soon as a job has been completed. You can read our full Privacy Policy here.

If your document is online, you may be able to copy the content of your document into a word processer and have it count the words in the document for you. Alternatively, you can always just send your document over and leave the rest to us. We’ll get back to you with a quote as soon as we’ve finished counting. Our project management team loves counting, so it’s a win-win!

Using our quote form here, you can send us the file you need translated along with any additional information you can find. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 029 2066 7666 and a member of the team will guide you through everything you need to know about the translation process. Make sure that you let us know if you have any additional requirements like certification at this stage. Once we have received your document(s) we will provide you with a quote and timeframe. We’ll then get working on your translation and send your translation to you by email and by post (if requested).

We adhere to the strict quality assurance guidelines set out by the ISO 9001 certification. The standard helps us to formalise our quality policy and procedures whilst helping to shape future business development and increase customer satisfaction levels. In order to achieve certification, the quality procedures at BLS were audited in depth, assessing how we monitor, improve and maintain consistently high levels of quality in all three key business areas: translation, interpreting and language training. The assessors were extremely satisfied with the methods and procedures already in place at BLS and also recommended further action we could take to maintain these and also to examine more closely how customers feel about the services that we provide. As part of this new certification, we will undergo annual auditing as well as biannual checks to ensure that we are still fulfilling the criteria of the certification.

We provide a variety of payment options to make sure we can provide our services to as many people as possible. You can either pay by bank transfer to the bank details we provide to you, or you can pay online via the link we send you. You can also give us a call and pay over the phone or pop in to our office in Cardiff and pay in person.

First, we will send your translation to you via email to make sure you are happy. As soon as we get confirmation, we’ll send the translated document(s) to you by post should you need them.

All we need from you is the document(s) you want to have translated, the languages you require and any additional requests you may have. Providing information such as the word count may help us to get you a quote a little faster too!

While machine translation may be okay for the odd word, when it comes to having your important documents translated, it’s best to leave it to the professionals. Machine translation doesn’t typically handle technical documents very well and the accuracy of you translation will vary. It has no way of considering context or consistency which could lead to problems when it comes to using your translated documents. Often, it’s just not worth the risk.
