Business Language Services Ltd. is delighted to announce its acceptance as a corporate member of the UK Institute of Translation & Interpreting (www.iti.org.uk).
As the first translation agency in Wales to be approved as a corporate member, it is a true mark of professional recognition and demonstrates our commitment to the aims of the Institute, including an undertaking to abide by ITI’s code of professional conduct.
In order to qualify for corporate membership BLS had to meet certain criteria, such as levels of professional indemnity insurance and years of trading. More importantly, however, we had to supply references from both clients and suppliers, willing to testify to our business practices and the quality of our services and products. BLS’s long-standing reputation as a leading supplier of translation, interpreting and language training, was key to this achievement.
The ITI was founded in 1986 as the only independent professional association of practising translators and interpreters in the United Kingdom. With its aim of promoting the highest standards in the profession, ITI serves as a meeting place for all those who understand the importance of translation and interpreting to the economy and society.
We are very proud to have this new string to our bow, which can only help us grow and develop further in the future.
