Business Language Services Ltd. has recently launched a new course – A short Introduction to Office Welsh: ‘short’ because it is delivered over 10 hours; ‘introduction’ because it is mainly suitable for beginners and ‘office’ because it is based on five topics carefully selected for their relevance to the workplace. Whilst this has generated obvious interest over here in South Wales, we were very pleased to organise such a course for a Manchester-based company! As a team passionate about languages and always trying to get others interested in languages, it was all the more exciting for us since the learners were not Welsh themselves. Having won a contract in a North Wales county, they decided that it would be extremely beneficial for some of their staff to be able to meet and greet the people of Gwynedd in their own native tongue.
After the initial lesson, our contact relayed some very good first impressions to us. At the end of the 10 hours, we carried out an end-of-course quality assessment, as we do with all our courses, and the feedback was really excellent:
